While you were sleeping on this frosty morning……

CC Weka (officially spelt Cee Cee) is looking a little lighter in the coat after Trainer Terri Rae gave her a ‘make over’ a couple of weeks ago when she clipped CC’s winter coat. Horses obviously sweat up during exercise and with a long winter coat, the sweat would be trapped she would get pretty damp, making the cooling down and drying out time longer. So the practical thing to do is clip the coat, therefore making the hose down and drying off period after a work, out nice and easy. The horses seem to have a wardrobe of rugs for the various weather conditions and Terri is a master at weather and rug selection for the day based on the weather.

Weka, John MacMillan just happened to drop by with his granddaughter at the very time CC was clipped. In this pic it appears that CC was less than impressed with her new look but then they say that the difference between a good hair cut and a bad hair cut is two weeks!!! Not that Terri’s clipping job was below par! No ! Years of experience behind a set of clippers means that the Rae horses are well sorted for a winter workout.

While you were sleeping this morning, CC was back out on the training track, which was rather frosty this morning.
