Bonnieweka’s First Trial Done and Dusted – now out for a Spell

Bonnieweka finished off her successful 2yo education and training regime today with a trip to Timaru and a trial at the Phar Lap Raceway. Finishing fourth in a field of six, Bonnieweka jumped well and travelled nicely for the 800 metre 2yo catchweight trial ridden by Denby Rose Tait.

Terri reported that Bonnie had a big day. “She did everything right and had a nice experience on the grass track. She will now go out for a spell and it was a good learning note for her to go out on”. Terri also commented that Bonnieweka needs a bit more time to grow and develope and that sometime in the paddock will enable her to mature before coming back into work after a break. It was a long day today and it looks like she is happy to be back in the yard with a nice package of hay to munch into.
